Central Jersey Technical Rescue consists of 24 highly trained volunteers. Members medical qualifications range from CPR to Registered Nurse. CJTRT members have training in the following specialized areas of rescue: High and Steep Angle Rope Rescue, both Urban and Wilderness Search and Rescue and we have 4 canine teams. The team is equipped and able to respond to any type of rescue that requires ropes (i.e.: vertical incidents, slope evacuations, and water incidents.)
Barry Orange - SARTECH III
Barry Orange, a Veterinarian has lived and worked in Clark, New Jersey for 34 years. He currently has 3 dogs and 4 cats at home at this time. This could easily change because he has a soft heart for animals and rescues many from homelessness and injuries.
Barry has been involved in Search and Rescue since 1987. He is certified as a Sartech III with The National Association of Search and Rescue. He is certified in Swiftwater Rescue and trained in Incident Command. His special interest in Search and Rescue is as a dog handler with his team partner, Liberty.
Liberty is a 2 year old bloodhound. She is a trailing dog. Barry and Liberty work together as a single resource for SAR work. They spend many hours training and honing their techniques. They are both dedicated to serving their community. |
