Central Jersey Technical Rescue consists of 24 highly trained volunteers. Members medical qualifications range from CPR to Registered Nurse. CJTRT members have training in the following specialized areas of rescue: High and Steep Angle Rope Rescue, both Urban and Wilderness Search and Rescue and we have 4 canine teams. The team is equipped and able to respond to any type of rescue that requires ropes (i.e.: vertical incidents, slope evacuations, and water incidents.)
Jonathan Elinsky - SARTECH II
Jon joined Central Jersey Technical Rescue Team in 2004 after having taken several NASAR classes and certifications and has since gone on to become a NASAR instructor.
Jon is member of the technical rescue subteam within Central Jersey and has helped in growing that component as well assissting in the process of Central Jersey becoming a member of the Mountain Rescue Association (MRA).
In addition to ground search and rescue techniques, Jon has trained in rope rigging, confined space, incident and team management, ICS/NIMS (300 level). Jon is also a certified Pennsylvania Field Team Leader (FTL).
Jon enjoys his backcountry life spent living in a log cabin in the Appalachian Mountain region of eastern PA with his wife and two daughters. |
