Police hunt missing man in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE: The Woodbridge Township Police Department is actively investigating the
disappearance of a 48 year-old Hispanic male with a medical condition who walked away from
his Avenel residence on Thursday at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to the Woodbridge Police Department, Roman Amado, 48, of 144 Remsen Ave. in
Avenel, was reported missing by his brother at about 7 p.m. Thursday. Detectives determined
that Amado left the Remsen Avenue address in the morning for a walk and failed to return.
Amado suffers from a medical condition that requires prescribed medication. Amado was last
seen in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
Amado is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with several body scars, including an 8
inch scar on the back of his neck, a 3 inch scar on his upper left thigh, and a 2 inch scar on
his right wrist.
At the time he went missing, Amado was wearing a brown 3/4-length hooded coat, a blue
hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark brown hiking boots, brown-rimmed glasses, a brown Velcro
watch and a white rosary bead necklace with a cross.
The Woodbridge Township Police Department has provided the missing person information to
the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office, the New
Jersey State Police and to police departments throughout the area.
